How this model works
The model starts from 2025 generation. Each year it adds the selected amount of solar and wind, expressed as a percentage of that baseline generation. Demand compounds at the selected annual rate. Existing clean generation stays constant; fossil generation fills the remaining demand. Clean share is capped at 100%.
This is a simplified thought experiment. It does not model hourly supply, storage, grid limits, trade, costs, plant retirements, or changes in other energy sources. The dashed comparison uses the same demand assumption with no new solar or wind. It is not a policy forecast.
